Master Conductor converts Zeus's single-target Blitz into area damage. The problem Zeus normally has is that his bolts hit one enemy at a time; Poseidon's Slip both amplifies the damage and marks the target so the bolt chains outward. In a crowded room the difference is dramatic — one bolt can clear a cluster that would otherwise take several seconds.

Scalding Water solves the one weakness of Scorch builds: burn damage is slow, and bosses often die before the damage-over-time pays off. This duo lets you cash in the entire stack instantly. The trade-off is that consuming the stacks resets your burn, so the duo favours burst windows over sustained pressure.

Natural Selection is the only duo that improves your run rather than your damage. Because it multiplies the rarity of everything you find afterwards, its value depends entirely on how early you get it — taking it in the final region is close to worthless, while taking it in Erebos can raise the entire run's power ceiling.

Thrown blades home in on enemies inside your Cast

Drop a Cast and let Aspect of Pan's seeking blades delete everything inside it. The highest sustained single-target damage setup in the game, and forgiving enough to run at high Fear.

Fireballs from your Attack explode the instant your orbiting ring touches them. Keeps constant area pressure while the ring also blocks incoming projectiles.
